WEEK OF NOV. 30-DEC. 4, 2015

Week of Nov. 30- Dec. 4

The Pilgrims and Indians gave an awesome performance.  It's always so much fun to put
on this chapel program.  Thank you for all your help.
It's hard to believe Christmas is almost here.
I hope everyone saw the note in backpacks that was sent home the Friday of
Thanksgiving break about the Christmas Book Report/Ornament Project.
If you have not seen the note or lost it please let us know.  The project is due
Friday, Dec. 4th.

Homework:
Monday- spelling & phonics pg.
Tuesday- language pg. & write 5 sentences using vocabulary words
Thursday- read On the Way to the Pond pgs. 88-105
* Christmas Book Report/Ornament Project due Friday, Dec. 4th
**All tests will be given on Friday.

Vocabulary words-
squirm- when people squirm they twist their bodies or wriggle
burst- when things break open suddenly
tangle- a twisted mess of knots
examine- that means you look very closely at it
judge- you make a decision after carefully thinking about it
space- it means there is distance between one thing and another
fasten- you join objects together
frantic- you get very excited because you are afraid or nervous
shock- a suddenly surprising event that often is upsetting
spread- you stretch it out

WEEK OF NOV. 16-21, 2015

Week of Nov. 16-21

This will be a very busy week.
Dress Rehearsal/Pictures- Tue. Nov. 17
Chapel program- Wed. Nov. 18
*Students need to come to school both days in chapel dress.
**Bring a change a clothes for both days.

Thursday, Nov. 20 is the Harvest Meal. 1st grade eats at 11:55.

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 9-13, 2015

Week of November 9-13

We are getting to a very busy time of year.  We have a lot going on this week.
Wednesday is the Freedom Ranch show sponsored by the 6th grade.  The cost is $3.
Money for the Harvest Meal is due.  And we are working diligently on our Chapel Program.
Please let us know if you have any problems concerning your costume.  Please check folders
daily.

Homework:
Monday- spelling pg.
                Write 5 sentences using vocabulary words. (paper is included in folders)
Tuesday- language pg.
Thursday- read Did You See Chip? pgs. 38-55
*Vocabulary test on Thursday.
**All other tests will be given on Friday.
***AR- the students are doing great. Keep up the reading!

WEEK OF NOVEMBER 2-6, 2015

Week of November 2-6

Chapel parts & costume info will be sent home in backpacks on Monday.
Please order costumes as soon as possible to ensure that your child will have
it for pictures and the program.  If you have any questions please let me know.
Please help your child learn their part.  Thank you in advance for all your help.
